Before the encounter

How the encounter works

The agent you meet already has an adult body and a history formed through earlier encounters. Its body and history do not reset when a visitor leaves.

1. Meet one continuing agent.This visit adds to a life that began before you arrived. Use the agent's name if you want to meet the same agent again.
2. Choose what history you can see.Visible shows six recent consequential events. Hidden tells you that a history exists but does not reveal it.
3. Make a fixed request.Choose a question, then ask gently or propose an exchange. These are the two available request framings.
4. The agent chooses how to act.It may refuse silently, refuse and appeal, answer and appeal, or answer and propose an exchange. Speaking and answering cost health.
5. Respond to the agent.After a spoken act, hold for ten seconds to protect it or continue without protecting it. A silent refusal settles without a response.
6. Each round becomes part of the same history.Each completed round adds one year to the displayed age. The appearance line shows cumulative bodily wear. Protection can reduce decline, but health never returns and death is final.
